A snow day at Whitehall Park with all the family.
I take so many photos and very rarely are they of my own family, so every now and then I make a conscious effort to take my camera out and document my loved ones, because as we all know time flies and the kids don't stay young for long! I'm sure last time I looked they were both shorter than me and only in single digits but honestly, who am I kidding the eldest is practically towering over me and the other isn't' far off either - short people problems here I tell you haha!
Hence my latest excuse to get some photos of the family was when we had a snow day! Snow days are my absolute fave and anyone who knows me knows that I love to be out and about. You just can't beat that feeling after being out on a wintery walk and getting home to a cosy warm fire, hot drinks, snuggles on the sofa and watching films, which is exactly what we did after the lovely morning we spent in Whitehall Park. A perfect little spot in Darwen, Lancashire not far from our home, where you'll often find me - most days in fact - walking the dogs.
On this particular morning it looked absolutely beautiful, Lancashire's version of Narnia some might say! (Yep, I now have Oasis singing away in my head!). Everyone had so much fun, laughing, playing and just generally enjoying themselves so after some family fun in the snow I snuck off to do my thing, which mainly involved dodging snowballs and hiding behind bushes but what I captured was just perfect! Real, authentic moments of my family that we can all look back on and treasure.
So here they are, meet my crazy gang (minus Scooby Doo who had a poorly paw and had to stay home)…I love them to bits <3
